I'm a contributor.

Been a paying member for quite a few years now.
I buy and sell on here occasionally so I figure that it is good karma.

They are all posting in the New members area to keep their post count up. Check it out it will give you a good laugh since it's the same damn people saying Welcome without even reading their post

Its a complete mess.

Forums tend to fade once they get older. People looking for new, or find the "old" forums divisive and not accomodating.

I will agree that with all Forums there are arsholes watching your every move. They don't resist any opportunity to kick others in the nuts, so you really have to be careful about what you put in public Forum unless you have some pretty thick skin and can take the heat.

I do my best to stick with topics that I have a LOT of direct experience with, tends to keep me out of trouble for the most part. I just glide over stuff that doesn't interest me or I really don't know much about, like what's the trick of the week LED headlight replacement, or the most comfortable seat, etc.

Being active on a few other Forums I have noticed that the percentage of folks with ego's to feed, bad attitudes, and the need to degrade others to make themselves feel better is on the rise.......FWIW......Cliff

Cliff, That "climate" only exists if the Original Mods let it go that way. When the MODS, at the first sign of an attack or wise guy comment, slam the offending poster and let him know that kind of attitude will not be tolerated between forum members, the Forum will always be a classy place to frequent. Otherwise, it degrades to a cesspool in a matter of time.

I'd like to see the MODS get involved heavily with that kind of attitude and attacks from a poster to another forum member here. I'd Also like to see them eliminate the crude profanity that is used by some here. I'm not a prude, but someone explaining a part failure by saying "it **** the bed" is just that poster trying to appear to guy and be a badass and tough guy, when all he's really doing is explaining to everyone his lack of vocabulary, in a rude manner.

There's also dozens of different touring/roadking/street/roadglide groups on Facebook and I'm sure that's taking eyeballs from this forum.

"Cliff, That "climate" only exists if the Original Mods let it go that way."

Agree 100 percent.

Two problems still exist, a decent percentage of folks in the population these days with low self esteem and are generally miserable in nature who get on these Forums with a microscope and seldom miss too many opportunities to degrade others to boost their own ego's. Then you have folks who are just butt-heads in general and can't get along with anyone but maybe their dog.

I don't see it as a moderators job to get all worked up about minor stuff, and folks having a little fun at someone else's expense....but with that said there are rules and "personal attacks" should not be tolerated, warnings issued, vacations given and folks banned that just refuse to play well with others......FWIW......Cliff
