TC88 Engine runs rough
Hello, my FLHTCUI from 2003 is running very bad. Idling is bad, while riding it shakes like bull riding, dropouts while accelerating.
Above 3200 revolutions everything seem normal.
The problem seems to be intermittend. Air filter and spark plugs are new.

Any suggestions?

Clean fuel injectors
I had a similar problem at around 40K miles while on a road trip . I pulled into a dealer and explained symptoms and the tech said the injectors probably needed cleaning and said the first thing they were going to do was spray carb cleaner into the throttle body . He said to come back in an hour , so I went to Walmart and bought a can and did it myself and the problem was fixed .Remove air cleaner and start bike , spray a can of carb cleaner into throttle body at while reving motor at different RPMs . Use the whole can then install air cleaner and ride . If the symptoms are gone add some total fuel system cleaner ( just enough for 5 gallons ) .The spray is worth a try before you do anything else. If that does do it go to plan B . Good luck.

Push/tug on the injector wires - see if it acts up or clears up. They can break inside the insulation at the connector - especially if the wire is zip tied tight from the backbone - and this is a fast and free test.
While it may need a fuel filter, the fuel filter is most likely not the problem. If it were, it would get worse as fuel demand went up and your problem goes away.
If the problem occurs with fuel level drop, it could be a hole in the fuel line.
