Default Electra Glide engine

So I know the electric glide has a 1584 engine in it. Is that considered a 1500 or a 1600? This is a 2008 model.

Hey Dave if it's a 2008 it's a 96 cu in. Meaning that it 96.7 which is 1,584cc engine.

It's referred to as a 96 cu in twin cam. Only insurance companies care about the cc

It is considered a 96 cubic inch, or 1584 cubic centimeter engine. Nothing special about that.

Daves yea for sure, they are a lot of fun,Congratulations on your first Harley, and for what it's worth, when your reading posting's on this forum;you hear much complaining about this problem, and that. Take it from a dude that has owned many. From 74" shovel heads to 80" Evos to the 88 then 96 then 103 twin-cam don't listen, they are really a quality bike built by American's. The 88 twin-cam was the first you didn't have to drop into a lower gear to pass a few car's.

Yep! Most Harleys are designated in Cubic Inches not Cubic Centimeters and I say most because there are Sportsters out there still being designated as the 883 or 1200. Then last year they had the Street 500 and Street 750!

Why do people think their questions are unique to their model?

All harleys have an engine.
