I cant find a kit to make my tour pack a quick disconnect,has anyone ever removed thiers,and if so,how much is involved in the wiring?

 

They have not made a quick disconnect wiring kits for the Ultra as there are so many wires involved with the stereo/cb system for the back seat. The quick disconnect hardware is going to be the same for the FLHTC. You are going to have to purchase an antennae relocation kit and then it will take some creativity to make your own quick-disconnects for the harnesses. You can buy plugs and jacks from Radio Shack or any electronic store and then it is just a matter of putting them in. Keep in mind that once you cut the wires you can't go back. I did mine. The wiring is not a big deal. Go to a marine shop and buy a water tight case and cut the wires and put together a disconnect for inside the case. I put speakers in my lowers with a toggle switch to activate when I don't have the beer box on. Yeah it took a few hours, but worth it in the long run. I move the antenna's, so I only had to worry about lights and speaker connections.
