2007 Street Glide or 2008?
Hello all.
Ive been watching the softail forum for several weeks as I own a 2002 springer softail.
However, I am going to buy a street glide, possible as early as monday.
As the 2008s are coming out soon, would you wait? Would you buy the 2007 and try to negotiate a better price?
As an aside, do any of you think a dealer would go below msrp or waive the setup shipping/handling charges?
Thanks.

Dealer Show in less then 3 weeks - Then Everyone will know what's in-store for us for '08...
One thing you can count on is a INCREASE in PRICE $$$ - Inventory of '07's (from what I've seen In So Cal) is limited and they really aren't wheelin & dealin' ???
Buyin' an '07 now - You'll be ridin a year old bike in 30 days???

I took delivery of my 2006 a month before the 07s came out and was pretty pissed. It was my first bike and i didnt know that the new ones would be out a month later. regardless the fun doesnt change because of the year it is. I dont think thedeals on the 07 will start happening until the 08 have been out for about a month or two.Just my $.02 worth

Any last thoughts?
Dealer opens at 9 in the morning, figure I can have pipes put on and be out by lunch.
Sales guy says buy it, (of course) not likely to be many changes from 07.
Additionally he doesnt think they will get the touring models to mid august or later, and they will sell for over msrp.
Buy or wait for an 08?

By all means WAIT! Rumor has it that the '08 baggers will come standard with an oil cooler......and who knows what else little improvements. You'll be kicking yourself.......and the pressure is ON to sell the remaining bikes. Dealer meeting is the second week of July....VERY early this year......something is up.
WAIT!

Go with the 07!
(Disclaimer: I'm biased of course - since I picked up my 07 on Friday ..
I have heard that there would only be minor changes to the 08's and they probably will be a litle more expensive. I went ahead and did an 07 because of the financing promo..and our local dealer gave me a really good trade that he might not have done with an 08...plus it's vivid black and those seem harder to find with the new year models.
But you're fine either way - it will be interesting to see what the actual deal is on the 08s.
