Default Want to borrow retaining ring tool

I need to change the fuel sending unit in my 2010 Ultra Limited. Anybody have a retaining ring removal tool i could borrow? I don't really want to use a hammer and screwdriver to take the ring off and really don't want to pay $135.00 or more fr the tool. I'm willing to rent for a reasonable price.

JIMS Fuel Pump Retainer Remover Tool - 954

I don't have the tool (hope you find one) but if you don't, just use a small rubber mallet and a piece of wood dowel or plastic laying around. It comes off very easy and literally takes seconds.

Auto part store loan tools out. Deposit is usually the cost of the tool. If you don't return it on time or damage it well you just made a tool purchase and they take the deposit money to replace it. They have most tools on loan

LP is right. That said, I have the tool, not JIMS because they're on crack.

For what you'd have in shipping both ways you could have the tool. One sure way to make sure you always have it is to never lend it out
