Default Is the CB built into the AM/FM radio? 2000 Ultra

Hey...

I purchased this bike used, and it didn't come with the CB / intercom headset. The previous owner mentioned that he installed a later model year AM / FM / CD in place of the AM / FM / cassette. I'd like to start using the CB, but before I drop cash on a headset I'd like to make sure my bike still has CB capability. Yes, it has the connector on the top of the tank for the headset cord.

Is the CB a separate from the AM / FM radio, or is it integrated?

It’s a module on top of the radio inside the fairing. But the head unit has to be compatible. Do the handlebar control work the radio fine still?

Quick simple check. Does your bike have one antenna or two? CB uses a different antenna than the stereo.

Harder check, pull the fairing and look at the back of the radio. The small box on top with the coax plug is the CB module.

I missed your question! Yes, they do. And I checked the information the seller provided with the bike, which said he installed a later year radio AM / FM / CB / CD radio.

Two antennas, so I'm thinking it must be properly equipped. I will pull the inner fairing and take a look - thanks!
