Advan Black just posted a YouTube video about how to make this work. It was ridiculously straight forward and you only needed to wallow out the mounting bracket for the front. Check it out.

Yup they work. My steed is that same as yours, only in black. I have 2014 hard bags and only needed to adjust to front bracket, just slightly.

What do you all think of that?
I’m in the process of doing this now. I bought the Fairing Plus conversion bags. The shocks DO rub the bags on these. I made new brackets for the fronts to push the bags out more for clearance. It probably depends on the bags purchased. You could probably space out the original bracket too. Rears fit great. I’m looking forward to having the new latch system.mine is a 2012 so your experience may differ, lol. Good luck on yours!

I've got a 2005 Classic. I put out on a pair of older hard bags that I got at a swap meet. There is a spacer available at the dealer that you have to put on the front brackets. The older style would rub too without it. Is that your situation? Because if you look at say a 2008 RKC vs a Standard, you would see that they use the exact same brackets but with a spacer in the front for the hard bags. It was easy as that. No spacer, it will rub.
I have not found out if me friend got the bags ... I hope he did. I'm going to give him a call.
