Default harley alarm red key light

changed my battery and now the red key light won't blink. The bike will power up including the fuel pump but the bike won't crank. Nothing when you hit start. Any suggestions?

Changed your battery in the fob? Or bike? if its the fob...don't take it the wrong way but I read many posts similar to this after changing fob battery and its because the battery was installed upside down in the fob. Just something to check.....

you beat me to it, exact same questions I was about to ask..

have seen many fob batteries put in upside down at the dealer on weekends

ALSO a lot of people don't know that when you change the bikes battery on a security equipped bike you are supposed to pull the main fuse with the ign in the on position..

Not trying to hijack this thread, but can you elaborate on the bikes battery change? Mine battery is on the old side and expect to replace within a year or so.

why is that? I would like to know.
I guess I am lucky then having just changed bike and fob batteries without pulling fuses or having ign on.

if you don't have a siren hooked up, it isn't as critical. but if you don't disarm the security before you remove your battery, well, suffice it to say that the siren is damn loud when in an enclosed garage....

fob batteries are no problem. no need to do anything to the bike to do those.
