I can probably do this through Google Maps, but would like to get some suggestions.

We're going to be doing the Tail of the Dragon, then Cherohala Skyway, then on to Nashville, was looking to see if there are any recommended routes for this?

Some nice rides along the area you're headed.

The one I like is the Hellbender. From the Dragon on the NC side, continue to Hwy 28. It's about a 20 mile stretch of curves and drop-offs along Fontana Lake 'til you get to Hwy 143.

If you continue onto 28, another nice stretch is just past Hwy 74, still on 28 to the town of Franklin. The road meanders along some nice scenery to some easy access to waterfalls. You can drive under the Bridal Veil waterfall.

Hwy 28 takes you farther from Cherohala but a nice ride.

Hwy 28 has nice asphalt and is safer with a lot less traffic.

 

From the Skyway take Hwy 68 to Ducktown TN then onto Hwy 64 along the Ocoee River to Cleveland TN .
Take the bypass to the west of Cleveland then get on Hwy 11 to Ooltewah TN . Take I-75 s to I-24 west to
Hwy 41 . Follow Hwy 41 to Nashville . Hwy 41 will take you over Monteagle Mtn & through Murfreesboro
TN . The interstate portion I'm recommending is only 20 miles or so & that's just to get around Chattanooga .

Cant ride under the falls anymore. closed it to vehicles a few years ago.

 

Thanks for that. Haven’t been on that stretch of hwy in quite a while.

Gonna be in Pinehurst end of July for a US Kids golf tourney.

 

come down Monteagle down into Winchester and stop at Skips Grill for a real hamburger then on up through Lynchburg, Shelbyville and on into Nashville
