I let her warm up for a couple. If I'm in a rush I just take off and take it easy for the first few miles.

I usually only let mine warm up for a minute at the most.
Usually, I try to take it easy the first mile or so.

about 30 seconds, maybe a bit longer on cold days, but living in So Cal it's gotta be real cold. Nice thing about EFI, my carbed Sporty is entirely different.

Move to Phoenix, it's warmed up when off.

Seriously, I think the manual says different things for Carb/choke or EFI. Carb you warm up so you don't need full choke, EFI says start and drive away.

I drive away my EFI right after start, but do it easily till "hot", which is about 2 minutes in Phx.

anywhere from 30sec to 2min. if 30sec.. taking it easy for the first couple miles.

Dealer told me... need the 30sec on cold start to get that oil circulating. I can't imagine why one would be told > 2min before riding. That seems 'excessive' to me.

I give it about the same time I give my truck, about 20 seconds or so. Start it, put the gloves on, check that the tour pac and saddle bag latches are locked then idle it down the driveway and up the street. Speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 and I have to drive about a mile before I come to the freeway or highway.

I start it, let it run for about 30 seconds and then go smoooooth and easy... The first five min or so I take it really easy and kinda "baby" it along - no stress on the motor and no load, just eeeeasy. This works well. By the time I get down to the freewayentrance it's been nearly 10 minutes of this and then I'm off and running on my wonderful one-hour therapy/commute!
