& seeing that Shinko 777HD is $123 seems silly not to change it. Hell I spent $35 on the Ride On.

No gimmicks on my bike. Air, and Wheel Weights. I did try the Balancing Beads once though when I had a Softail and they worked well but, never had an issue with regular wheel weights.

I have the Centra-matic balancer on my front wheel - no chemicals - no weights.

I've used Ride-On since 2012 with no problems, smooth as can be, but if i get something in the tire it's getting replaced. Ride-O is meant to get you home, not a long lasting repair even though it will last a long time. To each their own, but i think it's good stuff.

Now i've seen those stick on wheel weights come off and even dent the inside of the fender. Ride-On balances the tire for the life of the tire taking in any uneven wear from burnouts or skids too.

Very simple. Plug it with a repair plug and when you get home take it to a tire store and have it professionally fixed from the inside.
I've never had a motorcycle tire go flat....a few car tires though. I repaired my brother - in - law's rear tire a few years ago. That's the only experience with a motorcycle tire I've had.

AHHH, you hadn't mentioned the repair plug. Won't work for many of us though.
A lot of bikes still have spoke rims with tubes therefore we do like the added protection ride-on MAY afford us. Also if we mount our own tires it's an easy way to balance them.

Sure but if you are going to remove the wheel is it really worth it just to patch it? Maybe if it's like brand new. I'd consider an actual patch but for all the hassle start fresh w a brand new tire & be good for 15k mi or so.

Hmmm maybe I spoke too soon. Harley has been sitting since Tuesday, I was thinking she may be sitting on the back rim being that I haven't had time to check it. Been all cold & rainy for 3+ days & it's still at 40 psi. Plug & Ride On seem to be holding up.

Just posting an update, have not changed tires yet & the plug & Ride On are doing fine. Actually the PSI is staying at 40 for rear tire. Have been riding to work up until we hit low 30s this week in Phoenix. Becoming more impressed with the Ride On for sure. 👌👍

The real problem with that wheel is most likely the prepping of the wheel before it was chromed. Junk chrome ! They are not going to spend the labor time on the inside of the rim where no one sees it.
