That's what I did when I added RideOn to my already balanced wheel, I left the wheel weights on, and added the product. No balance issues.

When I put on new tires, I removed the wheel weights, since I had no way to know how out of balance the wheel was when I put on new tires. I added the RideOn, and have had no wobbles ore anything else indication an out of balance wheel.

I agree with what your saying but if someone changed tires and did not remove the wheel weights, it could potentially be a problem.
I removed the wheel weights on initial install of the product and have had perfectly balanced wheels since. It's nice to not have any weights visible on the wheel.

The hole was in the center of the contact patch, clean puncture right in the middle of the ride-on... didn't find the nail,,, it appeared to be the size of a finish nail or the size you would use to hang a picture...

At the end of a 300 mile day in the Smokey Mtns. Dragon, Moonshiner, etc... 2-up on the '09 SERG,,, eating up the twisties,,, all is well,,, cruising on the 4-lane about 60, changing to right lane, feel a slight bump as we cross the center line, nothing to cause any alarm, 8-10 seconds later smell burning rubber, pull over(tire is smoking!!) call for tow, next day inspect tire,,, destroyed on the sidewalls where the rim rode for about 50ft, no damage to rim...

As far as how?? I really don't have a clue?? Michelin CII. The Tech at Wheeler's Performance, Robbinsville, NC (specializes in tires~stocks over 400 tires) said he had never seen one like this,,, I haven't either, >50years on motorcycles on/off road,,, worked for Goodyear in my younger days,,, >1M miles cars,trucks,motorcycles...

That's why I contacted ride-on and sent pictures,,, was hoping they might shed some light??

Did they respond to you?

They haven't responded to me which is poor CS.

Even if they can't do anything for me, at least acknowledge that they received my information.

Thanks for sharing info HDV-Glide was I was thinking about trying this on my recent rear tire change but with chrome Agitators didn't want to take a chance.

Thanks for all the posts. Just confirms my thoughts on all these miracle tire balancing products. I'll continue to use chrome plated wheel weights. NEVER had a problem with them.

On my last TriGlide I did install the Centamatic front wheel balancer = worked perfectly.

I would say the pitting was caused by moisture getting between the tire and rim while washing the bike or riding in the rain. Seen steel auto wheels do this all the time. I doubt Ride-On cause that pitting. The Ride-On shouldn't have even touched the bead location on that wheel, it stays in the tire.

Well picked up a bent up piece of wire on Friday in my rear Avon Storm. Pulled it out, plugged it, seems to be holding. Grabbed a bottle of Ride On, was gonna add it this morning but their website says I need 10 ozs for a 160-60/18 tire. So I need to grab another bottle. I have chrome rims so this thread makes me a bit nervous to do that. Haven't seen anywhere else about anyone complaining about Ride On corroding their rims. If it were an old tire I'd just buy a new one but it's only a few thousand miles old. Any thoughts?? Plug will probably hold but it's that 'probably' thing that gets you. It's a small round hole in the center of the tread, maybe slightly off right.
btw I'm in Phoenix so excess moisture & rain & that kinda thing really isnt an issue...

Ok, well anyway bought that 2nd bottle, added 10 ozs of Ride On & took an 8 mile spin. Seems good, 40 psi, will check again in a few hours. I wouldn't trust this on a long trip but willing to give it a shot locally for awhile.
