Baker Ultra Wind Blockers
#11
I may give these a try!
On my last two Ultra's, I have used the "Air Fork Baffle", the fork mounted "Fangs", as well as hand wind protectors from National City (had them back-painted in gloss black),
I have often wondered about a way of deflecting the wind that comes over the lower fairings and beneath the upper fairing and deflectors.
A flexible, stretchy, pleated, water-proof fabric material that could be quickly and easily attached to the upper fairing (sharing the wind deflector screws) and attaching on the bottom to the lower fairings could provide a lot of protection from the cold (and rain).
Like anything that is mounted to the front of a bike, these would probably negatively effect the aero dynamics and handling of the bike at higher speeds
but they sure would feel good when you needed them.

If I am being picky, they do deflect the wind downward and as a result you may feel a bit more wind coming inward to your feet/inner ankles from the downtube area. But u can adjust the wings as necessary.

Man, I hope like heck they work for u as well as your shorty fangs. I know one other person, on the forum, with them who actually sold me on them. I know a local guy with them who loves them also. Keep me informed ..hoping they work for u.

I try everything hoping for a balance of cooling and less buffeting. After reading all the threads about buffeting and cooling, one thing for sure is everybody has their own experiences depending on what combo they use, which bike they ride, helmet used and the size of the rider. Even when it's two bikes set up the same, the riders usually experience something different.

That's a good thing........I didn't want any of you, immediately, screaming .........."what the h%$%$ is that *&^*& right there" lol
Yeah, I knew why they did white on their site, but it was so hard to visualize it not being so "in your face" .......I think it would be cool if he posted a few customer images on his site because I couldn't imagine them blending in with the bike at first.

if I didn’t have lowers, I would use the fangs. I had them on my SG and they were a nonissue until I put lowers on and it heated up The right side.

I can only use the fangs here for a couple months before I have to remove them. Right leg cooks above 80*.
