Default 02 FLHTCUI running like crap!

Looking for anyone that may have run into a similar issue. Bike runs pretty decent when under acceleration but when trying to keep a steady constant speed it spits and sputters. I had a similar issue before and found a broken tab on the plastic fuel regulator mount. I pulled the pump and checked that and it looks fine. I have not checked the fuel pressure yet. I will be checking it tomorrow.Because it runs fine under acceleration i'm thinking the pump is fine but possibly a bad fuel pressure regulator? Just wondering if anyone that's experienced a similar problem has any suggestions. Thanks.

What level is the tank when it happens? Pinholes in the fuel line will cause that. Any codes? CKP sensor possibly?

Fuel level makes no difference.Checked for visible leaks when I had the pump out and found nothing.I considered the crank position sensor but why would it run ok under acceleration? The only code I get is the IACT and that's been on forever.
Thanks for the reply Dawg.

I'm no tech but I know that ignition timing advances when accelerating.

I also have ho idea how to check ignition timing.

Just a thought. I hope you find the fix.

Sorry for not posting this sooner. Found the problem. Poor connection on the engine temp sensor connector. Been running great since I discovered it.
