Default Best looking and most comfortable solo seat.

I know I'll get responses all over the place with a thread like this and that's fine.

I'm looking for opinions on solo seat options that will fit a 2017 SGS. I want comfort and looks and would like something that will keep me close to the same riding position as the stock seat. I've come very close to ordering a few seats already only to have second thoughts and decide to wait. All opinions are welcome. Post some pics too if you got them!

Your local friendly dealer should have several options for you, including examples you can try on your own bike. Many have a 'fit centre' where you should find them. At the least you will get an idea of what to look for.

Not a bad idea... I was looking for something not made by H-D.

They are the only supplier whose products you can get close to, but having done so will hopefully have a better idea of what to look at next! Check the Shopping tab on the H-D website.

Just posted a pic of my Mustang solo in distressed brown on my 15 SGS. I may look at a gel insert because it’s killing my tailbone or the crap stock rear shocks. I also went to my dealer to check the test seats, but knew the aftermarket was better. Sadly no returns.

I have a Mustang Vintage Solo, and it never really 'broke in', it's fairly comfortable for a few hours of riding, but it becomes not so comfortable on long rides. With a young family at home, I'm not doing any real distance riding, so it's not a problem for me, but I would not recommend this seat for all day touring for someone of my build (6' 180#).

So I'm also searching for another solo seat, preferably with brown leather and a high degree of comfort for ALL DAY.

I had a Corbin saddle on my last bike and liked it, they are an option. I wouldn't like the standard riding position I would get with a Corbin on my street glide though so would have to ask them to custom build a seat for me. The corbin on my last bike moved me up a little higher and back an inch and a half which worked, but I like the the riding position I have now and would like to keep it as close to stock as I can.

You can buy a 2017 CVO Street Glide solo seat from a 20% off dealer for about 335.oo or less.
The Part number is # 52000283 the seat should sit about the same as stock, the seat must be
comfortable because I haven't seen to many CVO's with aftermarket seats on.

I'm leaning towards a Mustang solo wide tripper with the diamond pattern. I like the way it looks and most of the reviews I'm reading mention it being comfortable.
