Default Finally got to ride today

After 90+ days, I finally got out for a ride today. That was the longest stretch i’ve Gone in 6 or 7 years without riding. This year has been unusually cold and wet. It was great except for the fact that I forgot I busted my *** last Saturday at work. Slipped on a new floor and landed square on my ***, bruising my whole tailbone area. It was ok, I thought, until I hit a few bumps on the bike, ouch, over and over and over. Had to cut the ride a little short. Still great to get out even though it feels like my butt has a migraine right now.

In the mid 50’s today, saw a few bikes out and about for the first time as we finally had a rain to wash some of the salt away. Still doing some maintenance on mine so no ride yet.

If it is that bad you may have bruised your tailbone. That takes quite a while to heal.

Default You got me thinking

so I googled it. Bruised tailbone - 4 weeks to heal
Fractured tailbone- 8-12 weeks to heal
Seems like it’s just bruised, ibuprofen calms it right down.

Yea, injured tailbone is no joke. Fractured mine playing hockey and it was a good 12 weeks...very uncomfortable.

Glad you got out though!

Be safe.

Glad somebody is getting out to ride. It's been 119 days since my last ride and the next 10 days aren't looking so good either.

Snow still a foot deep in the yard and highs in the teens. The Road King is getting restless. It's winters like this that make riding so special. Can't wait.

I live just a little north of you. I rode most days in the winter but I’m a glutton for punishment. What pisses me off is that I’m having to park my bike more now that it’s supposed to be springtime. I’ll ride in the cold. I’ll ride in the rain if I get stuck out in it but I won’t roll a wheel when it’s pouring down for days at a time. Now we’ve got rain and snow in the forecast again for next week. If it ain’t raining or snowing it’s gonna be windy and 40 degrees, in which case I’ll ride but I probably won’t enjoy it all that much. All that to say, I’VE HAD IT WITH OHIO!!!! This winter has convinced me. I’m leaving. I’m 60 years old and it’s time for me to start figuring out where I want to live when I retire. One thing’s for sure. This ain’t it.
