96 to 103 questions

Hey bring it on. All I know is I went from a crammed 96 to a crammed 103 and I think I’m right...I am sure somebody could came , change the pistons and do head work on a 96 and blow my 103ho out the water but that’s not apples to apples.

So, a little bit of an update...
I wound up agreeing on a deal that will net me the complete top end off the 2016 103 that is coming apart with 100 miles on it. For $600 shipped (a pretty good deal I think) I'll be getting the heads, jugs, pistons, injectors and throttle body.
Great deal!
Not sure if the throttle body and injectors are any different than what's currently on my 96, but it's all coming from the same motor so I figured it cant hurt.
They are the same.
Now I'm trying to decide if the use of a gear drive cam is really worth twice the price. I cant check the run out to see if it's in spec until the bike is apart, which would add up to extra time down which I'm really not looking to do.
No need for gear drives!!! The hyd tensioners ya have are more than fine. Spend that money on headwork!!!
Tuners? haven't heard anything too great about the Harley tuners. The names I'm hearing are power vision and TTS...thoughts?
