For my 2012 Ultra, I bought this https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also bought a Soundstream pn4.1000d amp for $100 but they're now $150, and Infinity Kappa speakers in all 4 holes. It wasn't plug and play but wasn't difficult at all. I wish I would have bought different speakers though. The head unit works great with bluetooth though.

If considering new radio you don't have problem removing outer fairing. Purchase PAC ISBT23 or similar install inside of fairing then route 3.5mm jack to through handlebar cutout and plug into front 3.5mm AUX jack. You'll have bluetooth for around $20 and retain OEM handlebar controls.

Aquatic AV makes a great Head Unit with Bluetooth. It's plug and play and also uses the handlebar controls. The face is removable and it has a media tray to place you phone or MP3 player. It also has a USB interface to so you can load you songs on a USB stick.

I know a few guys that run this headunit and are very happy with it. I plan on doing a full system upgrade at some point and will get one also. If possible spend the extra cash and get the better version

I just installed a marine Kenwood head unit with pac adapter. 4 Polk audio marine speakers with a 600 watt kicker amp. I gave up the cb/intercom gladly for the upgrade. Do yourself a favor and call crutchfield and talk to a tech. They had the whole package to me in about 3 days. I neede the tech to help me decide between the huge number of options I had. I couldn't be happier. I thought about the Jensen head unit through jp cycles. My whole system came in at their asking price and I know I bought quality equipment!

You should really come over to the audio section before you're lead down a path you will regret later.
