I think the rear needs to come down an inch, or the front needs to come up an inch.

I would suggest better shorter rear shocks.

I would also check spokes and tire pressures.

sounds like extra weight is causing, some of the issue but poor handling is from reducing trail.by the front end lowering.

 

The specs on the JL audio amp says it weight 6 lbs, is that enough to throw everything off & make it want to dive into a turn?

Think I might yank it & see how it responds.

That is pretty centered in the fairing , the bike is engineered to add Boom audio amps in that same spot. Looking at your 1st pic it's pretty noticeable how much higher the front of the frame is compared to the rear , I'm no expert by any means but having the front that much higher than the rear would make the front top heavy by leverage in my mind.

 

Just to put this out there, have you checked the front tire psi. I had a fat bob that would dive into corners. Weirdest thing ever. I was checking the fall away and the fork fluid...then checked the tire psi. It was way down. Straight line showed no issues. Slow turn and it the bars fell in hard. Just an idea.

 

 

On any batwing fairing the addtl weight on the front fork is around 20lbs vs a frame mounted set like a road glide. So 6lbs is about a third. Yes, it could make a difference, however I still think you have other issues.

think about how you have changed your bikes geometry and the line between the front wheel and rear wheel.

that's where your problem lies in my opinion. The weight just of the amp, enhances the problem.

 

26* rake at the steering head (29.25* fork angle) and 6.8" trail is stock on '15 SGS/RGS per HD. The rest of the touring line is 6.7" trail. Slightly less trail is better steering at slower speeds.

The tires look a little soft in the picture. Try airing them up to the max listed on the tire and try that. I have had issues on other make bikes when the tires do not have the correct amount of air in them and they want fall (dive) into the corners. Airing them up costs nothing, give it a try.
