Default Red Hot Sunglow paint

Need to paint my wife’s new Hardbags and I’m pretty sure this is a 3 stage paint. Does anyone have the PPG paint codes for the base and mid coats?

Colorrite is so over priced, but may just have to go this route.

Nice looking paints are darned expensive - it's a fact of life, unfortunately!

I had researched this some time back and came up with these codes for my 09 Red Hot Sunglo

PPG base 922609/1 and Candy 922609/2.
The base was a champagne if i remember right.
I have my inner, outer and a new fender being painted right now and the painter said you can't get that color anymore that Harley used but they can match it. I think he said they discontinue it after 5 years from the last date they put it on bikes.

Great topic, I've been putting off converting to CVO style hardbags as I can't seem to get a handle on getting the bags painted to match my red hot sunglow RKC.

Hey Steeler Dude, I bought a Special PPG Paint that I had a very hard time locating
from Palmerton Autoparts in Palmerton, PA.
They are PPG suppliers, they mixed it up for me so I could paint my inner fairing.
Perfect Match!

It's one of HD's hardest colors to match. Good luck.

If you look underneath the gas tank on the right side you will find a tag with the PPG paint codes on it if it hasn't blown off. Take these numbers to a PPG paint supplier and they can fix you up. I had a red hot sunglow colored bike and did this to match a new tourpack to my bike.
