I have the HTs in my 06 EGS. They sound pretty goodbut then again I have nothing to compare them to. I'd like to try a pair ofJMs but I doubt if they'll send me a pair to demo

BTW John, what is theRMS wattageon theHCUS-98GT? I know they handle up to 140 watts power and the impedence is 8 ohms.

 

Replaced all 4 speakers with pioneer marine grade speaker, no worries about the weather sound great.

the J&M speakers are as good or better in the weather resistance department as any of the marine speakers ,,,,,,

one of our tests during the R&D phase was to spray a steady steam of water at the front of the speakers for 48 hours continuous, with the speakers playing at max volume ,,,,, and they survived this without damage ,,,,

I found Peerless 5 in. speakers at a surplus store in CA. The magnet is so big that they barely fit in the front fairing. The rear speakers fit in the box, no problem. Put some marine grade speaker cloth over them while I was at it. They handle the power of the 40 watt trunk mounted amp with no problem. Sound? Can't compare to the stock. Oh and they were only $20 a pair.
