Chrome. Just switched Stage 1 breather cover. Prefer classic.

I like a good balance of black and chrome. It's the contrast of the two that really sets off a bike.

I asked the same question and added a poll.
Son of a gun if it wasn't a perfect 21 to 21 split of blacked out vs chrome!

This of course is all personal taste. To MY eye, the denims and blacked out all look like built for the government for the lowest bid. I find a striking coincidence that with the introduction of factory blacked out bikes Harley closed the KC plant. Market saturated already? My buddy was ready for a new bike and he agonized over taking the hit on a left over '17 Road Glide Special (all chrome) and the instant one model year old before it left the show room, or the '18 special, only available in blacked out trim. He went with the '17. Harleys are supposed to have chrome.

When I was a kid, my friend's little brother took a can of flat black paint and proceeded to spray my friend's entire bicycle flat black........ frame, rims, fenders, handlebars, and all. We laughed like crazy at him. Looked really stupid. That's what blacked out motorcycles remind me of. Give me chrome.

I've done the shiny thing before. Never again. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing flashy bikes with glossy paint and lots of chrome, just as long as they're someone else's. Personally much prefer the more stripped down, anti-bling, minimalist aesthetic... especially from a maintenance standpoint. Had most everything that was once either chrome or glossy black taken off and custom powder coated stain black. No more dust, fingerprints, smudges, swirls, glare, watermarks, etc. Entire bike now takes all of 10 minutes to completely clean, and it stays looking that way for what seems like forever.

Was really into the blacked out theme a few years ago but over it now. Much more prefer some shiny chrome and black paint. Everybody and their brother is blacking out there harley and trucks with black wheels, still love the traditional chrome/black harley look
