Default Switching from CFR's to 2-1

As the title states I'm buying this setup:
https://www.jpcycles.com/product/832-785/danmoto-highwayman-2-1-brushed-stainless-exhaust

Right now I'm running CFR slip ons which is obviously killing my power and torque. I'll be calling Quick Performance in San Antonio this afternoon to get advice but I also wanted to check in here and get y'alls opinions also.

Right now I'm running a stage two intake, tts150 cams which I love, rush head pipes with torque cones, and a Power Commander V tuner.
My question is this: Will I have to put a new map on the power Commander V, switching from the cfr's and rush head pipes to the 2-1 exhaust?

Thanks in advance yet again for everyone's educated opinions.

Things may self adjust a bit, and if you are happy with things after a few rides, great.

That said, if you're one of those who simply must every trickle of power out of your engine, you know what you're gonna be doing!

Not trying to squeeze every ounce out of her but the cfr's are killing me. 2 up I have to downshift to accelerate up hill. I think the 2-1 will fix that from what I've read. I got the cfr's because a buddy had them and I love the sound but he didn't tell me about the loss of power. So I'm fixing that with this change. It'll still be loud but hopefully I'll gain some bottom end back.
I hope you're right and it'll settle itself into the tune.

That dan moto stuff probably isn't the best for power either. They were the dirt cheap china brand that guys on sport bikes would put on when they crashed and wrecked their "nice" pipe.

Pretty short for a 2 into 1 as well.

OP, I have no doubt you'll prefer the new set up. Not.only do two into ones typically encourage a bit more torque, to many of us, they look more 'Harley'... if that's important to you...going from my stock duals to a two to one is on my list, too.

I'm no expert my any means but the short primaries and short muffler doesn't seem like it would produce any kind of torque either on the Danmoto.

I will qualify my comments, however. ..if you are purchasing a system that doesn't' include short headpipes and a short muffler, then yeah...an increase in.torque is possible.

On the other hand, if the system looks like it belongs on a Dyna, and is strictly designed for noise, don't waste your money.

The system generally regarded as one of the best for power is the Thunderheader. If you buy something along those lines, that's' good. I will likely be going with the Rinehart system...I really don't' like the sound of the Thunderheader.

But be careful about the design of the system you are buying, OP...not all two into ones are equal!

I'd give Fuel Moto a call and see what type of 2-1 they recommend for your combo before spending the money on the Dan-Moto. It's more expensive to do it halfass twice, than to buy the right parts once.

Looks to me like you're about to spend $300 only to end up with the same results you have right now. And yes, you will need a new map.
