I ended up getting rid of my Bassani DNT's, for the same reason. IMHO, the choice you've made is fantastic! I truly believe it to have the very best sound and power making characteristics, of any exhaust system in the world. Again, that is my opinion. The only draw back that I've ever seen with thunderheaders, is their chrome. But, that may have been bad tuning. Enjoy! I know I would.

Save up for a longer 2-1 system thats proven (thunderheader, D&D, supertrapp, etc) or find a used one. They can be had for $300 (I just got one) and youll be much happier.
...mmm...he took care of the problem by buying a Thunderheader...

I switched from the cfrs to a propipe last year and made a huge difference. The shorty 2into1 s are for looks and sound and will not perform any better than your current setup.Fuelmoto has great deals i believe my propipe was under 650 if i remember correctly

I’m doing the same thing. Right now I’m running power duals and Bassani DNT’s. I put these on right after I install TTS 100 cams. Had it Dino tune and had some great results but still a little low in the low-end torque. Now I’m working towards a 2-2-1 I’m just a little burnt because I had this Dino tune last winter. And I hate spending money on the same thing twice. I was hoping I could swap the exhaust and not have to get it tuned right away. It will just run more rich correct? Excuse the incorrect spelling of Dino.

OP: You should ultimately be happy with the 2 into 1 exhaust as you will have more back pressure, hence more torque. With that said, you will need another tune. If you bought your PCV from Fuel Moto, give them a call and they can point you towards a map that will get you closer... and ultimately, help your tuner if you decide you need one. If you didn't go through FM, Dynojet's website has a bunch of maps that you can play with. I had a tune done a few years ago and it was fine..... until the temps went over 90 degrees. I have played with maps for 2 years and now can ride with power and confidence in any weather and my cam only cost me 1-2 MPG. Good luck.

Not mentioned so far is the Drago 2. I went with this on the recommendation of my tuner. Extremely happy with the power it made, sound while on the gas and cruising down the interstate
