Default HD Servise Jack

I saw the HD jack on their website, does anyone have one?

Would like to get J&S but shipping rates to Canada would kill me

I don’t see many folks on the forums that have bought the HD jack. Most get the J&S, the Chinese knock-off, Sears yellow, or the like. I use the Sears yellow aluminum jack when I’m not using my lift table and never had a problem with it.

+1. I was going to buy a J&S, as my Sears yellow is getting up there in age (never a problem). Decided to hold off for now. Researched some others, including the HD. Actually just caught the yellows on sale and bought a spare.

Yea, pretty sturdy. I strapped it down only once when I used it to change a rear tire.

You can drop it slow, but if you twist the handle fully it will drop fast

+1, only strapped it down with front or rear tires off, paranoid.

It is just like any floor jack. Crank the valve (handle) open hard, hydraulic oil escapes rapidly.
