It sits me down an inch to an inch and a half, and back two inches from the stock seat. For me it’s a perfect set up. I was going to send my stock seat to mean city cycle to rebuild it. Then I saw a guy selling this one. Figured I would give it a shot. It’s a harder seat. But I find my butt gets numb with a plush seat on long trips. With this seat I can go 800 miles in a day and get back on again the next day.

That actually looks like the perfect seat. Was there a break in period? Or was it comfortable day one? Also, how is it for the passenger? No seat is perfect with a screaming wife onboard

For me, it was good right out of the box. The passenger seat is a good size but it’s as firm as the driver seat. So will depend on your wife.... As far as my wife goes. She has had some medical issues. So I went and bought her an air hawk 2 seat pad. So she can ride with a little more cushion. But before the medical issues, she was fine on the seat for 400-500 Miles a day. We were planning a big ride last summer when the issues kicked in. So I can’t tell you how she can handle 800 mile days on it.

Like most seats, they’re not too cheap. But if you look around you can see used ones for sale randomly. I saw one a couple weeks ago. If I see it again, I’ll pass the info on.

There is only one. The one that fits you but and the one that rides behind you. No fancy catchy name. Makes a bit of difference.
Lot of what you see on the net claiming this or that one is nest is planted post to boost sales any way.
Decide looks or function try as many as you can. And after a 1000 miles it will feel different anyway.

As others have said, every butt's different. My Road Glide had a Mustang Super Touring on it when I bought the bike. It was great for short distances but was absolute torture on long trips. That thing was like sitting on concrete. Probably had more to do with my bony butt that the seat itself. The seat needed more cushion to make up for my lack of natural padding. I bought a gel pad from the Harley dealer that made it a little better but it still wasn't the holy grail. Personally, if I was looking for an aftermarket seat for a Road Glide I would probably not choose another Mustang.
