I ride a 2016 roadglide special. I fee like an elephant with thongs on when I ride. I’m currently looking for a more comfortable ride versus looking like I am too big for my bike. I would like to stretch my legs a little without the highway bars which I have. I already have the 12 inch bars and a seat other than stock. Any ideas?

Welcome!

The Road King is and inch bigger.
I am 6' 2". I would rather have had the Road King suspension, but the Glide made more sense for me.

I'm 6'3". I sat on a friend's Ultra a couple of weeks back. It has lowers and I was cramped to the point of being uncomfortable. I think if you get away from lowers you can stretch out a little. But it still is a small framed bike.

I'm 6'3" with long legs (wear 36" inseam pants) and I have a 17 RGS. I went with the 16" Yaffe bars, HD Tallboy seat, highway pegs, and extended shifter and brake pedal. I also installed the Burst Collection footboards, which are longer than stock. Works good for me and I don't have any comfort issues on long rides. I tried out the TallboyCycles Footboard Brackets and absolutely loved the feel of where they put the boards. Much better angle and further forward. But I ended up getting rid of them due to scraping issues. I would drag the brackets, not the boards, when even moderately cornering. I couldn't live with that. Plus they're too expensive for what you actually get. I would not recommend them to anyone that doesn't just right in a straight line.

I'm 6'6" and ride a road king. I know where you're coming from, I've spent a lot of money to make the bike fit me. Check out my signature and trust me they will make a hell of a difference for you!
