Canbus? Im going to have to look into that. I dont have a clue what that means. Ok, sounds like the rushmores are the way to go which is about what i figured. I think i remember reading theyll accommodate 14 inch apes with factory wiring and hoses? Any info there?

I believe 12 inches is max for factory wiring on batwing bikes. I dont have any info on the sharknose.

Default Obsolete old 2010

Jeez, everyone including the Mo Company seems to have thrown the pre Rushmores under the bus, I have a 2010 Street Glide with a solid tried and true 96 cubic inch motor with a simple exhaust upgrade, PCV tuner and free flowing air filter. Bike runs strong, cool, quiet and is reliable as can be. Did I upgrade her...sure, suspension upgrades, and I'm doing more of that now with an even higher end Legends rear shocks and Harley Dual cartridge front forks etc. Compensator... yes a given. Other than that shes been best harley Ive ever owned and has carried me reliably many smiling miles. I dont see that ending any time soon. I would never pass up a pre Rushmore for a good price. A few upgrades and they are worthy competitors.

I also have a 2010 pre Rushmore that I've been very happy with. Just as mentioned above I have pretty much the same mods. Bike runs strong and my next mod will probably be upgrading the compensator. I like having my bike shake a little so I'm not really interested in the new M8 motor. It took me a while to get my bike set up the way I want it, no point in starting over.

I have a 2014 Ultra I am very happy with, but I have ridden the M8 and it is a much more power full bike out of the box, and the engine is much smoother
For me I think it is a bit early for the M8 I would like to see another year or 2 on the market to see how it does

Still happy with my 15' Ultra Limited (12,000 miles) with no plans to buy a M8 in the foreseeable future. Except for a set of Street Cannons and the addition of saddle bag lights, my 15' Ultra Limited remains stock. The best part of owning my 15' is that it's all paid for!!.....lol

Im definately seeing a small premium for the rushmore models. Around here at least its not enough to justify going older. Indian was running 0% for 72 mos on their bikes. I sure wish hd were that hungry for sales.
