Ask them if you can do a free walk around inspection of the shop and techs.

 

WTH it’s free! local Hog group just had free dealer safety check, dealer techs went over each bike gave you a report and offered 15% off any repairs. win win the way I see it. I know a lot of haters here. Don’t like it don’t do it. For others go for it! pretty nice gesture from dealer when half the people will then go online and buy the parts for 5 cents less.

 

Dealer makes a lot of money selling chit people don't really need, once they have you in their comfort zone, where you start thinking they care about you and not your money it's pretty much a wrap, It's all about foot traffic into the building.

Buying on line will save you at least 20% if your buying from the correct place, go ahead challenge yourself, price anything at your dealer then go to Boardtracker HD. Bet you wont, it'll burst that precious love affair between the dealer and your wallet.

 

Of course it is a money making tactic for the dealer. Sort of like inexpensive oil changes for a cage. Both can be good for the consumer if they don't let themselves be talked into paying for something they don't really need or could do cheaper themselves.
