Default RG in North East not Popular??

Three different dealers in NJ have told me that theRoad Glidedoes not sell well here in NJ or the North East but is very popular in other parts of the country. Two dealers don't even stock them and are available by order only.

My question is......WHY? Any ideas?

I live in western NY and almost never see a road glide.I almost bought one in 03 but it was too late to change.About dealers having them, I have never seen a brand new one on the floor here either.

Here in NH I've yet to not see one in a dealer's showroom. I also see at least one or two on the road every week.

According to all the dealers I talked to while I was shopping for mine, they allocate the least amount of inventory to the RG. One dealership in Oregon will only get one on a special order basis. RK's, Ultra's, and SG's definitely get the most inventory allocation.

Man, Jump up to PA to get one. Every Dealer here stocks them that I've been to. There's 3 of us where I work that have them. 07, 03, and my 99.

When I was looking for a Road Glide I was told the same thing. I was also told when they first came out one of the local dealers would not even putthem on the showroom floor as it was too ugly. Most dealers only get a few a year but them appear to be selling better this year. I thought they were ugly too until I really looked it over and looked at the standard features. It's fine by me as there are not allot of them around that I have seen. I was kind of surprise though when the new bagger magazines came out a few months ago andalmost every bike in their articles were road glides. As an engineer I just think it makes sense to use a fixed fairing but that is my opinion. I like the ultras looksbut my RG just feels allotlighter.

The parts of the Country that the RoadGlide sells well in is directly correlated to the average IQ of the populace.........higher the IQ, higher the popularity!
