The "Metal Stems Only" is boldly posted on the Garmin TPMS.
My Road King Classic uses the Dunlop Tubes that have metal stems.
The Garmin units have a small allen setscrew for "Theft Deterrence" FWIW...
Small dime battery is "Exterior", remove the top cap and there it is. It goes into sleep mode when it sits still for a while, and wakes up with one revolution. I change mine once a year, around April, I have discovered they will give a low battery warning on the display after just a little over a year. I keep a sleeve of the batteries hanging in the garage, I get a sleeve of 5 from Amazon for around $5, glad they are not the more costly batteries, LOL.

I went the other route... in tire sensor, display by my right hand, and powers up & down with my bike.
