Comm not working

Comm not working
I have a 2012 Harley RoadGlide ultra. Recently I'm unable to use my comm headset effectively. When I receive a phonecall I can hear just fine. I just can't speak and be heard. Same thing happens when just trying to use the intercomm. I can hear in my helmet, but my voice can't be heard from my passenger.
Anyone know what this could be?

It's not uncommon for the wires at the plug to fray and break. Also check to be sure there's no bent pins in the connector. Looking at the connector and starting with the tab to the top and working to the right the first pin is N/A, The 2nd to the right is Mic (-) ground and the 3rd is Mic (+) positive. Should be able to do a continuity check across those pins.
Reached my personal level of frustration with Harley's brand Headsets and just made up 7-pin din to 3.5mm Stereo adapters and now run Microsoft LX-2000 headsets I score off eBay for under $10 a set. They last longer and work much better than the Harley version. The Mrs. and I use both full face and half helmets. With the full face I disassemble the headsets and install them in the helmets. The LX-2000 is behind-the-head type so no mods needed for the half helmets.

OK, I went back & carefully re-read post #1. It seems unclear to me what you have or how you're doing it.
2012 RGU doesn't have a phone interface as a part of the radio system? If you're patching the phone thru your GPS unit plugged into the bike's radio, your voice will not be sent to the GPS & BT'd to the phone.
If your using BT headsets, they don't connect to the bike's radio either unless you've installed the Sena adapter? If that's the case, it should be a BT headset adjustment for the passenger's volume?
If you're using wired headsets, can hear your own voice when using the intercom but passenger can't hear you, try having the passenger turn up her volume while you're talking. Also make sure the speakers switch is set to the right position to route the audio to the headsets.
Good luck.

If your looking for wiring diagrams go to the HD Service Info Portal and just enter your VIN. All the wiring diagrams are available
https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson....cle/lookupForm
From what I can see FPV's post is correct.
