With 55,000 on her your definitely due for a fuel filter.First you need to clean your T-MAP sensor or I.A.C.(its harleys version of a map sensor) behind the air cleaner on top of the throttle body.Also clean your throttle body,these two things may be your problem.If this does not improve your problem then go for the fuel filter.
