I am running into the same issue but a little different. I purchased a used OEM CVO fender with aftermarket CVO tail lights. I purchased a new Harley OEM Wire harness. The first problem was dealing with the 8 pin connector that comes with the harness. My 2013 Road glide custom had a 6 pin connector. After spending 2 hours in the dealership. I ordered a wire jumper lead that I thought would get me from the 8 pin to the 6 pin connector. Waist of $25 and di not work. I ended up just re pinning the molex connector. So now everything works but the brake lights. Seems like they are on all the time. If I switch the bike to accessory the brake lights come on. At this point the only thing I can think of to do is go to an after market harness. Or buy OEM CVO tail lights.
