The lifter issues has been an issues since 2007 when the 110 came out, still an issue last year of production, ten years later.

Still the M8 for me. Better motor, torque is lower in the RPM where most people ride, engine is smoother and quieter. Stock M8 heads flow as much as worked 110 CVO heads flow, so less expensive to build for power.
True with most things, but not Harley. Harley denies they have and issues. My 2015 like my 2009 had lifter failure that took out the engine. The 09 was after warranty was up, the 15 was 2 days before it was two years old.

A set of S&S lifters will solve the 110 lifter problem. HD has few to no answers for the M8 problems, not to mention a set of slipons will void your drive train warranty. Not an option for me. A 110 can easily be brought out to 117 or larger if you wish. Plenty power options and there is no warranty or epa issues. Just my opinion.

2007 Street Glide here. Love the bike. Does everything I want it to do very well. Don't feel the need for "newer/better" all the time like I used to. Stage 1, 96", 6 speed is perfectly fine for me. I'd never sell my bike, take a loss, and then spend thousands of $$$$$$$ to get something just because it's the latest thing. Been there, done that. I learned my lesson.
I used to do that every couple years. I'd buy a new bike, spend big $$$$$ making it what I wanted, then lose all that money by trading it in after a couple years, only to start all over again. I realized that was just a really dumb thing to do, and i learned to just appreciate what I had, because a lot of the time, I wound up wishing I had kept my old bike because I liked it better than the new one I just bought.
