Easiest thing to do is just pull the maxi fuse. To pull it without sounding the alarm, with the FOB present, turn the ignition on to deactivate security, turn the ignition off and immediately pull the maxi fuse BEFORE the security rearms itself. When you get to your destination just throw your maxi fuse back in.

bottom line is which ever works for you ... go for it. I've replaced too many batteries for customers who "think" their bike is properly set to transport mode. Removing the maxi fuse is a sure thing, only harm that will come by doing this process in the incorrect sequence is you'll want to shoot yourself from listening the siren blaring away and that would only drain the internal 9 volt battery on the siren. Personally, I pulled my siren ... it's just a PITA IMHO.

Those people must have issues? Those same people would probably lose the maxi fuse. The lights flash as was mentioned in the original instructions posted here. It's very straight forward.

It takes all kinds ... not everybody has common sense. You’d be very surprised. I’ve even seen people who activate their emergency flashers and think they’ve activated transport mode.
