I have really enjoyed my '07 RG. I was on the fence between the street glide and the road glide. The RG handles better at highway speeds than the SG due to the fixed fairing. You get more bike for your money ie: cruise control at a lower purchase price. In my case 18,000.00 RG vs $19,600.00 SG but this might change if the popularity of the street glide dies down a bit oras the market becomes more saturated with the SG. The only issue I have had with the RG is the windshield working loose. You can't go wrong with either bike as they are both great machines and if my dealer had a black SG in stock when I was in the market I might be riding one now. Find a dealer offering a demo day where you can test ride each and go with the one that lights your fire.

I'd recommend a Search on this forum and also a test ride or rental. Ultimately, you'll need to decide for yourself.

I'm on my second RoadGlide.....for me, it's the best of all the touring class bikes HD produces, and I've owned just about all of 'em.

Um...nice ride. After 35 years of different ones, might keep this one as my last.

As someone here once said;
"It's Harley's best kept secret"

It is one great ride, light steering because the fairing is frame mounted and not on the forks. Wind also doesn't push your bars around.

As said above, go test ride one, you won't be disappointed

This is my first RG an 06, My first harley as far as that goes, I road a 76 kz 900 for 26 years ( same one ) and still have it. But I love my RG so much, doubt I'll ever ride the old girl again. MAYBE once or twice a year, saving it for my son, hes 16,he's up for it next. But the RG fixed fairing , cruse, radio is awsome, i'm 6'2" 300 lbs, fits me like a glove.

Test drive for a day is not the same as owning one. I test drove my Deuce and after owning it I'm not so happy.

How much air turbulance on the driver? Any helmet buffeting?

What about the fixed fairing and headlights around turns at night? Seems like the fairing would be pointing more straight as the rest of the bike is turning?

Are there anything that youi guys would change if you could about the bike.

They don't seem ot be popular in the northeast as they are in other parts of the country for some reason.

I have an 05 Deuce and now an 07 Road Glide. The only pro's cons I can think of are this.

Cons of Rg- The Road Glide is NOT sporty looking like the Deuce. But I knew that buying it and wanted a better ride.

Pros of Deuce- My pipes are LOUD I feel like I am on a hot bike. It is sportier looking than the RG

Cons of Deuce- Much more wind on me for long rides. No stereo. Not as soft of a ride due to air shocks on RG and wider front tire.

Pro's of RG- Everything about!!!! Blocks more wind, better ride, storage space, CD player, AM/FM, Hook up my Ipod. Better ride, better bike for taller guys than the Deuce. 6 speed tranny for cruising 65 mph plus.

Hope this helps.

1) If you have some and it bothers you get a clearview.
2) You don't turn the handle bars when riding the bike. It's no different when going through a turn on any other bike. Think about it, you lean the motorcycle when riding. Lights go where you lean.
3) Wish it would come in a Ultra version also.
