Oh, how I wish that was an option. Snow on the ground makes riding them impossible. An unheard of 4 day sale to clear out some inventory takes waiting out of the equation too.

My options are pick one and buy it and find out in the spring if I made the right choice or stick with what I've got and ride.

I still like my bike and it's paid for. All the updates from 03 to Rushmore and a huge discount on either bike has me thinking

I have a '15 RGCVO. I was considering an '18 model, then I found out HD allows no mods outside of HD parts. Not even mufflers. For me any years from 08 to '16 are on my shopping list. The M8's have problems that may take HD yrs to correct. (if ever) Click on the M8 category. I am well aware many are just fine. Some are on their 3rd engine and yet to see 10,000 mi on their bike. Think it over.

I'd have to see both but would go in leaning heavily towards the CVO. The 17 off rental with the M8 would worry me some.

I have had the experience of riding an 03 RK, an 07 Ultra Classic and a 14 Limited back to back in one day. The Rushmore was a nice ride.

I personally would opt for the CVO. Who knows how the rental was treated and the 110 is solid. I can’t imagine you having any regrets with that CVO bike!

The 17 has a better engine. That CVO is due to fail soon.

The 110 is guick, I've tested 110 with cams , supper fun to drive. The paint is usely Stiller on the CVO's. Also tested couple of M8's and do like the motor and they run cooler. I'd still be leaning to the cvo as it's top of the line.

I have and love a 2015 cvo streetglide so I can say go with the cvo... that gold color in my opinion is awesome... you might have to put a little $ in the 110 but the bike is worth it

Well, we drove the hour to see the bikes. We looked at 4, all Limiteds.

2014 red/red. Higher mileage, good price. Full dealer maintenance records, traded by a long time customer. Wife's favourite.

2017 blue/silver, except rental. Had some damage to one of the bags that I wasn't happy with.

2017 gold/quartz. Demo, full factory warranty. Nice bike, wife didn't really like the colour.

2015 CVO gold/carbon dust. Beautiful bike, mint condition. My favourite. Again, wife didn't really like the colour.

The whole time we were at the dealer we kept walking past an 03 identical to ours. Neither of us had that wow, gotta have it feeling. The only bike that gave that feeling was a 2016 CVO Street Glide that was way too much money and would have needed more to make it what we need.

It's been an expensive year and if we're going to start making payments again it's going to have to be for something that really grabs us. For now we're going to stay with out 03. It's our first Harley and first touring bike so it's got value to us.

This did clear the way for a frame brace and possibly S&S headers though. Lol

Merry Christmas and thanks for all the input.
