Default SERT MODEL QUESTION

I have been looking at race tuners on Ebay for an 06 Ultra Classic. Will any model of Sert work as long as it is for a fuel injected model. I have seen G, A, and Emodels. H will be the new Sert but dealer doesn't have it yet. What is the difference in these ? If it is going to be put on a dyno will all these work. Thanks.

Yes, any EFI SERT will work..........HOWEVER, I'd exercise EXTREME caution when buying a SERT from E-bay at this time as the SERT's have been on backorder for a while now and most, if not all, of the Ebay SERT's seemed to have been bought up during this time as well as no one could find a SERT, much less one that was even advertised..........and remember, a used SERT is no good to you as it marries itself to the VIN of the bike and is only good to the original owner of that bike with that VIN.

Clear as mud now? I apologize for the lack of correct punctuation in my reply.

The only difference is the software CD that comes withthe SERTand the older ones came with cables. Now the MOCO charges you $30 for $2 worth of cables. The latest CD is Rev. "J" which can be ordered separately and comes with SERT package 32107-01G but no cables. I'm sure we won't see the next SERT with the new software Rev. until the '08 models come out.

Default RE: SERT MODEL QUESTION

coach: All of the EFI SERT's use the same data trasfer device, known as the "key." It is part no. 32114-01A and comes in a brown, sealed box in every new SERT kit. The variations in the SERT kits is due to the different CD's that include various maps. My SERT kit was a -01C, reffering to the suffix of the SERT part number. That's an '04 version; so it didn't include the maps for '05-'07.

Also, the maps on the SERT CD only cover variations in exhaust and motor parts that are made by HD. So there are no maps that are specific to Rinehart True Dual exhausts, Andrews cams, ported heads, etc., for example.

If you are buying a SERT from a private party (EBAY or otherwise), just be sure you are getting the "Key", part no. 32114--1A, in its sealed brown box. Also, the SERT kits from '06 and earlier come with the cables.
