2008 is the only year that utilized the older 3 inch wide rim with the newer "Cush Drive" hub. You will be able to use 2000-2008 spoke wheels but they will have to have the Cush Drive installed onto the hub. Your current axles and bearings are 25MM. Your bike will accept 1 inch axles if necessary. The Cush Drive did show up in 2007 as an add on option.

I put wheels of a 10 on my 08. Straight bolt on. Same bearings (non abs) that's 1 thing to watch for 8f you go later model. Mine was non and I bought a front that was a 50 mile take off.
