Corbin seat swap....
Well,i got my new Corbin Solo Classic today. Got it out of the box and it looked pretty good. I will say that for 500 bucks,i thought the underside looked pretty crappybut who is gona see that. I took my stock seat off and was suprised at the scuuffed up fender where the seat had rubbed for the last 5000 miles. After all was said and done, i have a corbin solo that looks good from the top, hard as a brick (as i was told it would be), and i hope will form to my butt after a couple thousand miles or so and be a good ride (as i was also told it would be).
Now, what to do with the couple of wires, air shock hoses and stock rear seat bolt hole. Not to mentionfender paint issues. I would assume i can rerout the wires and hoses but the fender looks likeS***. I also can not get the seat to release and quit trying to force it as i did not want to ruin my whole day. I figured i probably need to re-adjust the brackets a bit to give a tad bit of play but it seemed to go on snug like a thought it should. Figured i would have at it tomorrow after i thought about it a while.
Maybe a tour pak, a leather cover, a good compound wax or a new pearl white paint job with pinkghost flame for the wife and a 08 street glide for me....... help
By the way, i ain't complaining, i love the bike........

RE: Corbin seat swap....
I had the same problem when I went with a solo seat. I could not get the get the scratches all out. I bought a fender bib to cover them that runs to the stock seat bolt hole. Cleaned up the scratches that still showed as best I could. Re routed all the wiring and air hoses out of site.
