Default Fishtail length advice

Hi guys I’m looking to change my pipes on my 2010 Ultra Classic and had a question on the length,I want to go with 1-3/4 straight fishtails but I see so many different lengths on them,I want them to be long enough to get past saddle bags but not so long that they are a foot past the fender, any advise or pictures would be great, I know my performance will not be as good as the rinehart I’m running now but are there any other things to take into consider
Thanks

Not so long that they stick out enough to cut a leg off.

There are people that like them and them that don't.

Get something else IMO.

Sorry...

Do u wanna drag when u hit a bump, do u wanna be 3 ft from a curb when you stop.. Those r really the only deciding factors.. They will sound and look good either way

In general, the reference is that 28.5" pipes are fender length. Here is my Heritage with 28.5" pipes. I wouldn't expect your UC to be very different.

Here's 33's on my Road King.
And 36's on my Fat Boy.
I will likely put a set of 36 fish tails on the King one day.

I went with the Vance and Hines Fishtails. They extend right to the end of the fender. They sound great as well.

I was at a dealership a few weeks ago, and there was a guy there that had brought his Deluxe in to be looked at and he had it in the bed of his pickup. The fishtails were so long they had a bitch of a time trying to get it backed down the ramp without them hitting the concrete from the angle. Just something to consider if you ever have to load it.

My Ultra had em when I bought it. I didn't mind them until I took off the tour pack. I don't know how many times I cut my shins walking around the back.
