RE: Taking my Uncle Ed on a last ride
Spike, my condolences on the loss of your uncle..............what an awesome thing for you to do........like somebody already said, when my time comes, I sure hope someone will do the same for me! My wife already knows the places we've been where some of me needs to be! Have a great ride. Just the 2 of you sounds perfect to me!

Well, I get to make this ride again on a somber note. My father had been sick the last few months and the canecr finally got him. After 7 years from getting over prostate cancer, it moved into his bones and then his liver. He died on Monday the 15th, his mothers 90th birthday. She was there along with his younger brother and 2 sisters. My mom and 2 of my 3 brothers were also there when he passed. I can be thankful that my dad didn't suffer as bad as his brother Ed. My dad was at home the Friday before and he got to see and hear my son run into his house and yell "Crampa!" and my dad yelled back at him "Cian!" They both laughed and Cian hugged him and they played for a bit. I will miss my dad dearly and I am saddened that Cian will not have any grandpa to play with as my wifes father passed over 15 years ago. I will try my best to raise my son as my father raised me. I feel that is the best eulogy I could give my dad. I will be taking my dad to the same place that I put his brother behind Echo Lake at the base of Mt Evans in Colorado next spring.
