RE: Taking my Uncle Ed on a last ride
Spike,
Very sorry to hear about your Uncle. When my Dad passed away in 2000 I put some of his ashes in a small vial and attatched it to my handlebars. Now Dad goes on every ride with me. One glance at the vial and I know he is riding near me.

RE: Taking my Uncle Ed on a last ride
Thanks to all of you and all that have offered to guide me and take pictures.
Hoping I don't offend any of you here, but I think I'd like this to be a solitary ride, just me and Uncle Ed. This way I can stop when&where I want and take as many pictures on the side of the road without having to wonder if I'm pissing someone off by stopping so much. I just wanted someone to take the last picture of the ride of me letting him go. I have a good friend from the VTXOA that has said he will be in Denver at the same time and he would be honored if he could take the pictures. He's a good friend and I have taken him up on his offer.
So thanks to all that offered the great rides and adventures, I really do appreciate this. [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

That's cool man. Have a good trip. I found your post inspirational since I am leaving S. Florida Sunday with my moms ashes. I'm taking them to NY to put in a cemetary with her mother. Mom would kill me if she knew I was taking her on a motorcycle ride.

Well your doing a great thing. Your Uncle will be your guradian angel. Have a great trip. A ole fellow that I used to ride with Norm passed away and I did not get to make his funeral. He was cremeated his son has his ashes now. They had a little get together later on and a ride for him got some pictures of him at Hog Alley but his wife sent me some pictures of him and me on some of the trips we made and she madeup a nice lamentaded card with his picture with a write up about him and sent them to me so I carry that in my tour pak so he his still riding them highways. Son, I and a freind of his are leaving Monday morning for Glacier National Park will probably make it thru 8 states before we get back home son figures about 5000 mile trip so ole Norm is going to be going thru some more states again.
