I'm in south east Wyoming if you decide somewhere out here I would suggest the pass at top
of Rocky Mountain park in colorado. about 1 hr West of Loveland.
One of the highest passes here and a gorgeous view in all directions.
If I am available that day I would be happy to take a couple pics for you.

That's cool man. Have a good trip. I found your post inspirational since I am leaving S. Florida Sunday with my moms ashes. I'm taking them to NY to put in a cemetary with her mother. Mom would kill me if she knew I was taking her on a motorcycle ride.

You're doing a very good thing to help give back to your Uncle Ed. Sounds like you'll get a lot out of the experience too -- a good way to say goodbye.

You and Ed have a good safe trip. Post some pics when you get back.

Depending on where your route takes you, if you're down in this area, be glad to guide you around for some really spectacular scenery only the western mountains can offer.
Would meet you in the Rawlins area on I 80(about midway east to west at bottom of Wyoming)and bring you East and south down the mountain ranges.
I find it difficult to take pictures and be in them too and you should get plenty for friends family and your own memories.
We have places that high up will still have snow at the top alongside the roads.
Snow ball fights in July are cool!
