Default Clutch Housing Replacement

I own a 2012 FLHTCU and I am in the middle of replacing the clutch discs, clutch housing and chain tensioner. The oem clutch housing appears to be riveted to the clutch sprocket. Do I need to take this assembly to a machine shop and have the rivets machined off in order to separate the oem clutch housing from the clutch sprocket or can I simply drill the rivets off to separate the parts? I'm replacing the oem clutch housing with a Barrett Scorpion Billet Clutch Housing which is to be attached to the clutch sprocket by way of bolts. Thanks to all for your suggestions/advise.

You can drill out the rivets.

The part you are working on is called the clutch outer shell.

Many thanks, Dan! I've also read that the shell is referred to as "clutch basket",
