If you want something different, that is bolt on, and rides as good or better than stock, you might consider going with a Native Custom Baggers Pitbull kit (180/55/18 front).
I've been running this for over 3 years and love the way it rides and handles. I don't know what "travelling" means to you, but put 500-600 miles in a day on my bike a few times a summer. Shorter trips the rest of the year.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with this latest version. I ran a 21" for about 7 years before this. Definitely rides and handles much better with the 18". It's a little slower turning in initially, but once leaned over it's absolutely planted to the road. Even brakes better with the much wider tire. I had a pic of my bike sitting next to a stock RG. You can really see a huge difference but I can't find that pic.
