Re Corbin
I had a Corbin on my '14 Triumph Tiger, it was awesome. My brother has one on his BMW and my buddy has one on his Triumph. Hands down we all love the seats. They are hard as a rock when you first take delivery, but put a thousand or 1500 miles on them and they break in and conform to you specifically; you'll never want to go back to another brand. If you are very light you might need a bit softer foam but if you're an average weight or even heavyweight person a stock Corbin will be great for you.
We live close enough that we can ride to the shop in Hollister so they make the seats for us right there while we wait and it's an awesome experience. Had I known about Corbin when I bought my '09 Ultra that's what I'd have today. The next HD I buy my first trip will be to Corbin in Hollister.

my fears were that they were too hard etc
and not break in.

[QUOTE=Ragtop;16817218]Have them make you one with the softer foam than they normally use.
And call the FL store, the reps in CA SUCK!!!
I got nowhere with the CA place on the phone.
Called the FL store, and the manager spent an hour with me on the phone
setting up
my custom seat. Got it 3 weeks, and it was comfortable right
out of the box, no break-in required.
I had bought one off Ebay to see if i liked it, and it was hard as a rock!
Now way could I get comfortable on it, so sold that one, and ordered the custom one. NO money lost.
Added the heat option, it's great when the weather get nasty.
Mercedes leather on the entire seat, side, back and all.
Flamed stitched the seat, that adds another layer of softer foam that's needed for
the stitch pattern.
Love this seat, it's the close model. Scooped out an inch or so in the back of the seat
to drop me down some, and added the cutouts on the side for my rear crash bars.
The guy in FL was awesome to work with.

If that is the case, you should definitely set-up a "ride in" appointment. In the mean time, you can mess around with their seat simulator.
