I started my harley career on an old 79 ironhead sporty it leaked oil from the time I got it tell the day I sold it and I replaced every gasket at least twice and some of them up to 4 times but as soon as I would get one leak fixed another would start so I feel this kids pain. I wish I still had that old sporty now it was a real cool bike and my first Harley, I was so proud of it even when I got home from work and my boot was oil saturated. Help the kid out and you will feel better about yourself. Hell when I got the ole sporty I had never even wrenched on a Harley before but got a MAnual and never ever took it to get it repaired I wrenched it all myself. Buy the kid a service manual if he dosen't have one, maybe he dosen't know how to fix the leaks. Like has been said Harleys don't leak they just mark there territory!!! Better yet ask him over for a beer one saturday afternoon and have the $2.00 gasket there and help him seal the thing back up he will be your friend for life. Be very carefull about putting down 1%'ers there are alot in this world and most don't care about being polite they would rather just come looking for you to settle things the old way. I sure hope you guys can settle this and become friends us bikers have enoughfoes and don't need to make more between ourselfs. My motto is if there on a bike I like them tell they do me wrong then paybacks are hell.

I think I saw that bike at the bar last weekend. Sat there drinking my beer think about the character that old Ironhead had and out of coincidence a 20 something year old took off on it. To some it looked like a POS, to me it looked like a young kid getting on two wheels anyway he could and on a HD no less. By the way our 2000 1200C leaks oil and I can't seem to fix it.[:@]

Without passing judgement on cr's encounter with the subordinate, I can tell you that he, the other foreman, and the company they work for may be in danger of an employee harassment suit. Under federal guidelines, it's illegal to "punish" or discriminate against employees for things like this.

As members of management, I'm surprised they aren't aware of this.

Transferring this employee to a harder, less desirable job (even temporarily), could be viewed by the employee, his lawyer, and federal court as employee harassment.

Obviously, the company they work for isn't a union shop or they would have even more problems.

Admitting to this "act" on the internet isn't smart. I would let it cool... rapidly.

I don't care how new or how old your boots are. Getting oil on the bottom of them and having to put your feet on the ground when coming to a stop, just ain't no Damn fun. New School, Old School, or Hard A$$ School it still suks. I would have just moved his bike over to the previous days oil slick that was on the ground. And he had a problem with that then we could have went a few rounds down and dirty, after the day was over, and off of Company property. Nothing between you and me but air and opportunity.Oooossp there goes the air.
I try to look around so I don't step in dogshit or oil. But that's just me...

If you'd of came off like that to me at 20 years old, i'd a kicked you a$$, andthen told you to F/O! Maybe offer to help him fix the leak next time and you'll actually earn some of his respect? Just remember what comes around, goes around.
One thing you can count on with this kind of thread, it sure brings out all the badasses. Now we all know who to avoid.
